This year I participate in a poetry tradition that the Academy of American poets launched in 1996. Every April, the poetry community bands together in celebration of poetry and its vital place in American culture.
Part of this tradition involves writing a poem a day, to get to 30/30: 30 poems in 30 days. So this month, poetry takes center stage as I participate in this tradition and post my poems on my other blog: http://anaccidentalamerican.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
If you like this notion, to stop by – or indeed follow me there, too!
